Course Overview

Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (SITHFAB002) is a Nationally Recognised Training Course that provides you with skills, knowledge and the outcomes required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol. You must obtain an RSA training course by an approved training provider before serving, supplying or selling alcohol.

This unit incorporates the knowledge requirements, under state and territory liquor licensing law, for all employees engaged in the sale or service of alcohol.

This competency must be renewed every 5 years, to remain valid.

Learning Outcomes

The RSA course includes the national unit of competency SITHFAB002 – Provide responsible service of alcohol and NSW specific elements, covering a range of topics including:

NSW liquor laws and selling, serving, or supplying alcohol responsibly
Intoxication, including assisting customers to drink within appropriate limits, assessing alcohol affected customers and refusing service
Minors, including ID checks and secondary sale/supply
Harm minimisation strategies
Compliance and enforcement

Must attend the face-to-face course

Entry Requirements

Must be at least 17 years of age
Provide 100 points of ID upon enrolment

Accreditation & Award

To obtain an award for this qualification, you must complete all units, and be marked competent.
